Take a ride to the border!

This adventure allows you to experience yet another Central American country and its customs and culture.

See the only fresh water lake with sharks!

Visit the town of Rivas, enjoy a typical Nicaraguan Breakfast and have a tour in an alternate form of transportation of this typical comerical center.

Continue to  the Volcano in Massaya and “El Marcado” (The market). Choose between the newer tourist market or the authentic local Nicaraguan market.

Visit the colonial city of Granada and enjoy a boat trip to see some of it's 365 islands on lake Nicaragua.

Returning to the boarder drive past "los Publos Blancos" (white towns) and opt to stop at  Catarina Outlook and Laguna de Apoyo (The crater of Apoyo).

Departure Time: 6:00am

Return Time: Approximately 11-13 hours later

Travel Time: Approximately 1 Hour, 30 minutes to/from the border (from Playa Hermosa/ Playa Del Coco/ Gulf of Papagayo Area)

What to Wear: Shorts, Comfortable Walking Shoes

What to Bring:  ORIGINAL VALID PASSPORT (MUST BE VALID FOR ATLEAST 6MONTHS FROM YOUR DATES OF TRAVEL, COPY OF YOUR RETURN ITINERARY BACK HOME (OUT OF COSTA RICA) Sun Protection: (Sun screen, Sunglasses & hat), Mosquito repellent, and Camera with extra batteries/ charger.

Recommended For:  The entire family.
